Description

There was nothing I could do. I tried to save her, before she plummeted to her demise. There was no hope now. The vixen had been keening for weeks now, lost in a glossy world beneath those shattered eyes. She had lost everything. She had lost her beloved friends, their names woven around a ceaseless cry. Like a chant, she would screech to the heaven's above, at nighttime she would curl up in the furthest corners of the shadows.
We could do nothing. Our healer said there was a limit to what medicine could do. They could not fix her fragmented heart. And if anyone said dying from a broken heart was a myth, they were wrong. She had loved them all as she had loved no other, she had faith stronger than any other person I had ever seen. Yet she roamed alone, forever seeing the scene of betrayal in her mind, playing ceaselessly over and over. She had spiraled into a world so abysmal that not even I could understand her sometimes.
She would often, after the crying, sit on the edge of the parapet and gaze at the city she had loved so much, with all it's people. She had fallen in love, been thrown out of it, she had followed her friends endlessly, until they shut the door in her face, she had her mother spit in her face with hatred so strong it shown through her face.
A storm gathered around us, and I feared it would not leave her as easily as the other times. Her fur seemed to blend and match her equally depressed mind.
She would stare at the city with a mixture of pity and confusion; like a lost child.
And she would always ask me, "Why?"

Extremely sad... poor poor Izzy... *rushes up and hugs her*
This is a very powerful piece of art, accompanied by a power piece of literature, you did a really great job.
I really love her wings, and your color choices are outstanding, they really emphasize on the depression she has
